Meet the sculptors at Stone Lane Gardens: Mon 2nd Aug 1-5

Together with curator Nick Parker and sculptor Krystle Patel, I will be in the Arboretum from 1 – 5 pm on Mon 2nd August to answer questions about the exhibition and our work.

Stone Lane Gardens is an enchanting 5-acre woodland gardens on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park, famous for a National Collection of Birch and Alder trees and annual sculpture exhibition.

The theme this year is ‘regeneration’ reflecting the need for society to regenerate after the impact of COVID-19 and the fact that Stone Lane is regenerating through the planting of a new birch arboretum.

SPRING: the bright upward movement and playfulness of SPRING are a cheerful expression of regeneration and hope.

Nick Parker and Tom Law have made a short film about my glasswork.

PARADISE 2021

Galvanised Steel , dried hemp rope and polypropylene

The sculpture reflects the spaces between protection and vulnerability and questions how we carry our experiences.

Aesthetically the space is a reference to the phenomenon of whale falls.

There will be another Meet the Sculptors day in mid September.
