INTEREST: March 6th – 20th, Ariel Centre, Totnes
Upper gallery: Kit Burgon and Ophelia Lorimer with invited artists

Lower gallery: Millie Baker
B Tec art students at Kennicott, Kit Burgon (pictured) and Ophelia Lorimer, were assigned the task of curating and mounting an exhibition of their work for their final year project.
Together they decided to show how they have been influenced as artists by the people around them – choosing work by Kit’s grandmother Jan, and Ophelia’s friends Molly and Ruby.
Concurrently in the Ariel Centre’s lower gallery, Millie Baker, also in her final year, is showing her jewellery and graphic work plus a painting by Kit.
Kit Burgon “ When researching curation before doing anything else, we
found that professional curators made it sound easy!
But really putting everything together, marketing and organising a private
view etc, gathering work, actually putting it up in a coherent way and
selecting the work – there was so much to be condensed down – it was
really hard. But totally satisfying.
And, it was so nice to see everything displayed, we were so happy –
and we worked really well together, are now stronger friends.”
