Discovering42 REIMAGINING REALITY at Narisa Park, Bodmin, Cornwall

Discovering42’s Reimagining Reality is a fabulous innovative exhibition for Cornwall; a first step towards setting up a permanent science and art center.  Discovering42  won the Museum and Heritage  Sustainable Project of the Year Award. May 2022.

Explore the weird and wonderful peculiarities of science and experience an immersive journey along surreal passageways leading to quirky interactive exhibits that are artworks in their own right and environmentally friendly.

All are crafted from waste or reclaimed materials by artists from the South West.

I was commissioned to illustrate the way that light behaves – a great opportunity to explore.

In the resulting ROTATING RAYS and RAINBOW ROUNDABOUT everything can be moved, slid or rotated to alter the light beams and reflections.

RAINBOW ROUNDABOUT  (aka Mad Max meets Tinkerbell) illustrates the splitting of sunlight by glass prisms and also the effects of centrifugal force on the pendants when it is moving.
