'Seat in the naval town of Gosport as part of the improvement to the George & Dragon Square'
Richard Bent, artist blacksmith (www.richardbentblacksmith.co.uk),
designed and made this seat in the naval town of Gosport as part of the
improvement to the George & Dragon Square. The hulls and sails form a
crown around the top of the capstan, this format having been taken from
the Royal Navy Ships' crests; the 8 ceramic feature panels above the
seating, were designed and glazed by Jan, to describe the variety of
shops in the small lanes and streets of the immediate area.
